Willow Together

Willow Together, our connected learning model, allows your family to decide if in-person or online instruction is best for your child. This fall, we are offering full-day, in-person instruction five days a week and a real-time distance learning program for families who prefer to start the year learning remotely.

Outdoor Learning:

Willow’s 34-acre campus has been a living laboratory for student learning since the school was founded. Whether it’s kindergarteners adopting a tree on campus to learn about the life cycles of a plant, fifth graders studying our local watershed at our stream, or students from multiple grades collaborating on a STEAM maple sugaring project, Willow’s curriculum and campus are designed for unique outdoor learning experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

Small Classes:

With maximum class sizes of 16 throughout our school and a student-teacher ratio of 8:1 in our Lower School, Willow students benefit from a more personalized education. Our dedicated faculty tailor lessons to our students’ needs and interests, teaching students the way they learn best.

A Joyful Curriculum:

As a private school in New Jersey, Willow has the independence to create a more dynamic curriculum, engage students in Systems Thinking and many Academic Innovations unique to our school, and infuse classes with joy whether we’re on campus or online. We set higher standards for learning and for our day-to-day relationships with one another and our natural world.

A Thoughtful Virtues Program and Strong Community:

Willow students achieve their greatest potential with a strong community standing behind them. Morning Gathering is the cornerstone of a Virtues Program that is modeled and practiced on a daily basis by students and adults. That is just one of the many ways we reflect upon virtues such as courage, wisdom, gentleness, and humility as a community.
