Event Details
On Monday, April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America and, weather permitting, be visible from our Willow campus! To experience the joy and wonder of this rare event together Willow will be hosting an eclipse viewing party on Monday after school. We are also making a few adjustments to our dismissal schedule to ensure students’ safe viewing of the eclipse, which is due to pass over us right around our usual dismissal time.
- From 2:30-3:30pm, we will host a viewing party in the Willow soccer field for students and parents. A parent or caregiver must attend for students to participate. Parents, please bring a blanket or lawn chairs. We’ll provide the eclipse glasses and a family viewing activity! Please arrive at 2:30pm and head to your youngest child’s classroom to meet up and gather their belongings. RSVP by Friday morning here.
- For those who cannot attend the viewing party, we will have an early pickup at 2:15pm to ensure that students are safely dismissed before the eclipse begins. Please email the main office to arrange for early pickup at 2:15pm or sign your child up for Extended Day.
- While Extended Day will be available on Monday, enrichment classes are cancelled for that afternoon. Class costs have already been adjusted to exclude this session.
We are looking forward to experiencing the eclipse together! If you have any questions about Monday’s dismissal procedures or event, please reach out to the main office.
