A unique learning community

At Willow, we believe a fulfilling school experience is measured by what’s learned both inside and outside the classroom. Parents choose Willow for our welcoming environment, which is nurturing and inclusive of everyone in our community. We accomplish this through mindful programs such as Willow Gatherings—twice-weekly meetings for our children and parents to enjoy each other’s company and reflect on their day. There is also Harvest Soup, a fall tradition where students and parents practice gratitude by harvesting the produce from our garden and turning it into a special soup shared by the whole community.

Willow also has an intentionally small class size, with a maximum of 16 students per class, and an 8-to-1 student-teacher ratio. This allows students to be known not just by their classroom teachers, but by the entire school. Small classes also mean that students cannot fade into the background. They learn to develop and manage relationships with their peers and others. Lower and Middle School students have recess together each day, and students from different grades work together in buddy classes throughout the year.

Our innovative curriculum and community-building programs lead to collaboration, teamwork, and good communication skills that deepen our connections.
