Plans for the Last Day of School: All of the following will happen on our last day of school, Friday, June 5. 

Special Morning Gathering: Please join us for a special Morning Gathering, where faculty will read Oh The Places You Go to honor our Class of 2020 and celebrate all of our students! The Morning Gathering will premiere as usual on our YouTube channel at 8:15am.

Graduation Comments: Every year, Willow teachers celebrate each student’s unique strengths and successes with a special classroom ceremony, sharing comments honoring their students. Parents are invited to join their child’s class at the following times to hear teacher comments and celebrate the end of the year. Please join your child at their screen – a willowschool.org email address will still be required to join the meeting.

• 9:50-10:30am – Middle School (starting with Grade 6)
• 10:15am – Grade 5
• 10:35am – Grade 4
• 10:55am – Grade 3
• 11:15am – Grade 2
• 11:35am – Grade 1

Graduation Parade: All Willow families are invited to campus for a special car parade on graduation day. We ask that you enter Willow at the main entrance (not the Farmhouse) and that you drive slowly around the outer Ring Road where teachers will be stationed to wave goodbye to your child(ren). We ask that you come at the following times per grade (please arrive at the time allotted for your eldest child’s grade): 

• 1:00pm – Grades Preschool-1
• 1:30pm – Grades 2-4
• 1:45pm – Grades 5-7
• 2:00pm – Grade 8

For everyone’s safety, please:

• Remain in your vehicle.
• Keep your windows up.
• Drive at 5mph.
• Practice caution while driving. 
• Do not stop during the parade OR congregate in the parking lots before or after the parade. Carline parking in front of the Schoolhouse will be reserved for early arriving Grade 8 families only.
• If you are unable to enter the Ring Road when you first arrive because the procession is backed up, please continue driving and loop back to the entrance in a few minutes’ time.

Please note, this is not a good day for your family to pick up or drop off items at school. Please use the Sign-Up Genius in the Parent Portal to schedule a more appropriate time.

During the parade, teachers will be socially distanced, wearing masks or facial barriers, along the Ring Road. We understand that some parents may be concerned about their children seeing all of our teachers in masks, but we believe this is best for the safety of our staff and sets a good example for our community. Please know that this is a totally optional event, and we encourage you to attend only if you think it will be a joyful celebration for your family. Your students will be seeing their teachers that morning either way! The parade will be rain or shine. We’ll be waving to you under umbrellas if it rains!
